Knock Out!

No one can't deny but notice that Bali is more than just art, culture, party, and leisure. It is also about sport; where many world class tournaments like the International Bali 10K, Bali Triathlon, Surf Championship, and Asian Beach Games were held. And from myriad types of Men’s sport in Bali, this tropical island has come as a place where the fist and fury found their glory.

Boxing or also known as pugilism, is a combat sport where two participants of similar weight fight each other with their fist. Mostly believed that ancient Greeks were the first to make a sport of it as an Olimpic game on 688 BC, boxing or fist fighting actually has been described in several Indian ancient texts such as the ramayana and mahabarata. Meanwhile the earliest evidence for fist fighting with a kind of gloves can be found on Minoan Crete 1500 BC. Nowadays, this ancient sport has widely learned and still popular along the modern ones. Just like in Bali, even though surf and skate dominate the rows, numerous boxing training centers can still be found in this cozy island, which one of them is the Mirah Boxing Camp in Kuta. As a pioneer in the boxing gym, this place has been widely known as a place that had scored many professional athletes yet international champions, such as Alex Bajava, Ahmad Mandar, and Chris “the dragon” John. First came around 1980s, this humble place is open daily from 3-5pm for those who look for more than sweats. For further details, please call 085 237 288 063 or come to Jl.
